MAKHACHKALA, June 24 – RIA "Dagestan". The regional Ministry of Land and Property Relations hosted a meeting to discuss the upcoming construction of an Ice Palace in Makhachkala. Officials confirmed that a specific land plot was earmarked for the sports complex. In parallel, procedures are in motion to align the site's permitted land use with the project's objectives and to develop the necessary project documentation.
The facility is designed as a multifunctional venue for athletic training, competitive events and mass sports. With a total footprint exceeding 4,000 square meters, the palace will comfortably accommodate hundreds of visitors and athletes at the same time.
According to Zaur Eminov, the Ice Palace is a facility that the republican sport community have been long waiting for. “A land plot in the Ippodrom district had already been chosen. The early stages of preparation are now in progress. The key goal is to execute the project within the established timeframe and at a high level of quality, adding a new contemporary sports venue for Dagestan. The republic's leadership directly tracks the progress” - the top official stated.
