MAKHACHKALA, September 30 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan Ministry of Digital Development has officially launched a call for grant applications to support fiction and journalism projects that promote anti-terrorist awareness, particularly among young people.
The initiative boasts a total prize fund of RUB 800,000, which will be split into four equal grants of RUB 200,000 each.
A wide range of applicants are encouraged to apply, including individuals, legal entities, NGOs, production houses, creative associations, film studios and admins of popular social media and messaging channels, as long as they fulfill the competition's requirements.
Next year, the grants will fund projects across four key areas: journalism in the indigenous languages of Dagestan that combats extremist ideology; explanatory journalism covering the fundamentals of anti-terror laws; television content such as shows, reports, and music videos that reject terrorism and neo-Nazism while promoting patriotism; and radio content—including shows, podcasts, audio series, and interviews—that builds resilience against destructive ideologies among the youth.
The deadline for submissions is October 30, 2026. Following this, an expert panel will conduct a remote screening of the entries to select finalists between November 1 and 11. The finalists will then pitch their projects in person, and the winners will be announced between November 12 and 18.
