MAKHACHKALA, October 15 – RIA "Dagestan". On Thursday, October 15, the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan formally elected Fyodor Shchukin as the Head of the Republic. His candidacy was supported by a majority vote of 78 deputies in the regional parliament.
Chairman of the People's Assembly Zaur Askenderov confirmed that Shchukin was elected to serve a full five-year constitutional term. This legislative ratification marks the culmination of his transitional period, and officially establishes his long-term executive mandate over the region.
