OMSK, May 14 – RIA "Dagestan." Initiatives put forward at the fifth district report-and-program forum "There Is a Result!" in Omsk will be included in the updated version of United Russia's "People's Program." Following five thematic roundtables, forum attendees developed specific recommendations on agricultural development, food security, rural infrastructure, ecology, supporting SMO veterans in rural areas and youth policy.
Key proposals include new support measures for the agro-industrial complex and agritourism, organizing educational farm tours for schoolchildren, adapting young professionals and reviving mentorship programs, expanding "Agro-Tech Classes" and "I Am in Agro" projects as well as attracting students to summer internships through student work teams.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency in domestically bred seeds, advancing pedigree livestock breeding, and further modernizing rural infrastructure, while separately highlighting the agritourism development initiative.
Devletkhan Aliev, member of the People's Assembly Committee on Agrarian Issues, Nature Management, Ecology and Environmental Protection, noted that the initiatives were especially relevant for agricultural regions like Dagestan.
"For our republic, where livestock farming and crop production have traditionally been strong, issues of seed import substitution and breeding our own meat and dairy cattle are matters of food security" Aliev stated. The parliament member emphasized the critical importance of rural infrastructure development and ecology, noting that youth outflow remains a pressing issue.
"We need not only agro-classes, but also guarantees that young professionals will come back to their home villages after finishing their studies — to places offering both employment and contemporary recreational options" he said.
