MAKHACHKALA, March 26 – RIA Dagestan. The Republic of Dagestan has recorded the highest crime clearance rate in the Russian Federation, reaching 87.3%, Abdurashid Magomedov, Internal Affairs Minister of the Republic of Dagestan said.
The statement was made during the presentation of the Ministry's annual report on operational results for 2025 to the republican parliament. "Due to the measures implemented, the republic has achieved the highest crime clearance rate in the country, amounting to 87.3%. For comparison: the average clearance rate across the Russian Federation stands at 50%, while in the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, it is 59.2%" - the Minister stated.
In his address, Minister Magomedov also noted that in 2025, the number of registered crimes decreased by 2.3%, with 13,546 criminal acts recorded in official statistics. Furthermore, over the past two decades, the overall volume of crime in the republic has declined by nearly 18%. A sustained reduction in crime rates has been observed in the republic since 2022, the top official added.
