MAKHACHKALA, June 28 – RIA "Dagestan". Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan Shamil Ramazanov summed up the results of the working visit to Minsk, where the republican delegation took part in the IV meeting of the Bilateral Commission and the XIII Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. According to the top official, the agreements reached take the economic relations of the two regions to a qualitatively new level, opening up sales markets and attracting large investments into Dagestan agro-industrial complex.

A bilateral agreement was signed on the construction of a modern greenhouse complex in Dagestan worth RUB 530 million. The project will be implemented in the format of a joint venture with the introduction of advanced Belarusian technologies, which will create new jobs for the residents of the republic. Ramazanov also reported on reaching an agreement to bring Dagestan-made agricultural products to the Belarusian market. In particular, supplies of the famous "Kikuni" juices, as well as textile products from the primary wool processing factory "POSH" to Belarus will commence.

The forum participants also addressed the creation of an official Minsk Tractor Works dealership in Dagestan, which would provide local farmers with direct access to Belarusian machinery, original spare parts and high-quality maintenance. Shamil Ramazanov saw the MTZ assembly lines in person to evaluate the production standards.

The parties paid special attention to logistics. Dagestan, being a key transport hub of this corridor, opens up the shortest routes for Belarusian partners to the markets of Asian and Middle Eastern countries, which will also simplify the export of Dagestani agricultural products abroad. "We are moving from a basic 'buy-sell' format to deep industrial and agricultural cooperation.

The synergy of Belarusian technologies and Dagestan's unique climatic potential will give a powerful boost to our agro-industrial complex. Work on implementing all points of the protocol begins immediately. Our task is to turn these papers into functioning enterprises and new jobs in the republic as quickly as possible," Shamil Ramazanov summarized.
