SULEYMAN-STALSKY DISTRICT, June 28 – RIA "Dagestan". "Polosa" LLC has completed the construction of the second phase of a modern fruit storage facility in Suleyman-Stalsky District.
The capacity of the new facility is 12,500 tons of simultaneous product storage. As reported by the regional Agriculture and Food Ministry, the storage facility is equipped with controlled atmosphere (CA) technology, which makes it possible to reduce the oxygen content to 1.5% and maintain the required level of carbon dioxide. Thanks to this, fruits retain their taste qualities and marketable appearance for more than a year.
The first phase of the agro-logistics facility with a similar capacity was commissioned at the end of 2024. Thus, the total storage capacity as of today amounts to 25,000 tons. Upon completion, this figure will reach 50,000 tons.
