Fifty-four new passenger buses, valued at RUB 874 million, will soon join Makhachkala’s public transit fleet, with SberLeasing scheduled to complete the delivery across four procurement agreements in December 2026.
The municipal fleet will be upgraded with vehicles manufactured by three domestic plants—PAZ, NEFAZ and SIMAZ—specifically engineered for enhanced passenger comfort, safety and modern convenience. These buses feature digital route displays, contactless fare validators, USB charging ports, climate control, CCTV surveillance, and automated fire suppression systems.
First Deputy Mayor of Makhachkala Gadzhimurad Murtuzaliev called the modernization of the transport fleet a strategic priority for safe and comfortable daily travel. According to city administration official, features like air conditioning and tap-to-pay systems directly improve the quality of urban mobility.
Evgeny Morozov, Head of Dagestan Branch of Sberbank, highlighted the city's dynamic growth and Sber’s commitment to providing a technological foundation for seamless movement using domestic innovations. Irina Lyuttskova, Director of the Public Sector Department at SberLeasing, reaffirmed the company's dedication to systematically renewing the regional transport infrastructure, offering flexible leasing terms tailored to the municipal budget's fiscal capacity and the residents' needs.
