MAKHACHKALA, April 28 – RIA "Dagestan." Dagestan has completed its 2025–2026 lambing season. The republic's winter pastures host 1,284,000 small livestock, with 1,082,000 breeding ewes. Some 1,029,000 lambs were born on transhumant lands. A 98% survival rate was achieved thanks to quality feed and prompt veterinary support. Gunib, Akusha, Charoda and Kazbek districts posted the best results. Livestock producers are now preparing for shearing and the move to summer pastures.
