MAKHACHKALA, May 19 – RIA Dagestan. As of May 19, 2026, a total of 403 facilities located in the Republic of Dagestan have been included in the Unified Register of Classified Accommodation Facilities.
This figure includes 57 guesthouses that have completed the self-assessment procedure and been added to the register in accordance with established regulations.
Since the beginning of 2026, the number of classified accommodation facilities in the region has grown by nearly 23%. While the register listed 328 facilities at the end of 2025, the current count has reached 403.
Dagestan's Tourism Ministry stated that operating without classification is illegal. Business outside the Unified Register of Classified Accommodation Facilities violates current law. Classification is mandatory for all types of accommodation, including hotels, sanatoriums, recreational centers, campsites and guesthouses. Facilities not listed in the register are not authorized to provide tourist accommodation services.
