MAKHACHKALA, May 20 – RIA Dagestan. Bookings for accommodation facilities in Dagestan for the period from May 1 to September 30, made through online channels and properties working with the Travelline platform as of the second decade of May, have decreased by 43% compared to the previous year. This information was reported by RBC Kavkaz, citing the Russian Union of Tourism Industry.
A decline was also recorded in other North Caucasus regions: in Ingushetia, bookings fell by 34%; in Stavropol Krai, by 11.8%; and in North Ossetia, by 5%. Overall, hotel bookings across Russia for the summer season have decreased by 6.2% compared to last year. The decline affected all categories of accommodation, ranging from budget options to premium properties.
