The automotive market in Dagestan has experienced a notable downturn over the past four months. According to data released by the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD), this decline affects both domestically produced vehicles and foreign brands.
On average, new car registrations have decreased by more than 20%. This trend is not isolated to Dagestan; the entire North Caucasian region has witnessed a similar drop, with registrations falling by an average of 26%. In June 2025, the North Caucasus Federal District recorded approximately 4,000 new car registrations, a significant decrease from the 5,400 registrations observed in June 2024.
