Dagestan actively advances four major investment projects to expand its vineyard areas. Total investments have surpassed RUB 1.42 billion, enabling the development of 1,354.8 hectares of new vineyards between 2024 and 2026 and the creation of over 200 new jobs.To date, more than 525 hectares of new vineyards have already been planted using modern drip irrigation systems, enhancing water efficiency and crop resilience.
In 2025, a major focus will shift to post-harvest infrastructure. Plans are underway to develop two new grape storage facilities with a combined capacity of at least 1,000 tons—one in Derbent District and another in Kayakent District. These cold-storage hubs aim to address critical gaps in agro-logistics and significantly boost storage capacity for table grape varieties, ensuring better quality preservation and market access.
