Volunteer rugby players from different Russian regions arrive in Daghestan

Makhachkala, August 5, 2014. Volunteer rugby players fr om different Russia regions arrived in Kizlyarskiy district, Daghestan, to teach local students the basics of the game, the press service of the municipal administration informed RIA "Daghestan".

"For a week, player of the Moscow’s "Monino" rugby club Dmitry Koroliov will be giving master classes and training the students. This is a kind of preparation for the Daghestan Peoples’ Cup scheduled for August 9 in Vikhli village, Kayakentskiy district. Here, Kizlyar region will be represented by a rugby team headed by coach Madrid Vizirov. This game is gaining fame in our region, as seen from our athletes’ achievements. The Kizlyar team is the reigning Daghestan champion among adults," Ahmed Ibragimov says, the head of the region’s department of physical culture, sport, tourism and youth affairs.

The forthcoming Daghestan Peoples’ Cup attended by volunteers from Russia regions is organized by President of Daghestan Rugby Federation Magomedrassul Issaev. This is the 2nd project in the row wh ere Daghestani boys are taught the basics of rugby.
