Makhachkala, October 17, 2017. The authorities of Stavropol Territory create a sports accelerator to increase the number of champions from the Northern Caucasus. As reported, the Governor of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov leads a working group on implementation of the target project "Academy of Sports" in the region.

The initiative envisages the creation of the large sports complex in the regional center. Nowadays, the regional authorities consider the ways to solve the arising questions as well as the issues related to the localization of facility.  

It is planned that the new complex will become the most effective training ground for the young athletes from all over the north Caucasian region. Sportsmen from Stavropol, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Chechen Republic and North Ossetia-Alania can improve their skills in the complex.

The famous world-class sports masters will be invited to conduct classes in the "Academy". The implementation of the project will create additional jobs and replenish the regional budget, as well as promote the regional center as the sports capital of the region.
