Makhachkala, November 17, 2016. Dagestani mixed martial art fighter Rasul Mirzaev interrupted his winning streak on Fight Nights Global 54 tournament, held on November 16 in Rostov-on-Don. Not knowing defeats over 17 bouts, Mirzayev conceded to ex-fighter of the UFC, the Georgian Levan Makashvili, which stands for the United States. The battle lasted all reserved for him for three rounds and was won by decision Makashvili.

"I destroyed my confidence in the fact that I'm the best. Makashvili proved stronger than me today. I thank him for this experience. I promise I will come back much stronger. I will have to work over my mistakes. Sorry, that I did not win. I wish to dedicate this victory to Rostov. I started my amateur career here. I think I made a show and the audience was happy. I appeal for the revenge "- Mirzayev said after the fight.

Noteworthy, Rasul Mirzaev’s next fight is scheduled for December 16 in Moscow, where he will meet with the Brazilian Diego Brandao. In July 2014 this fighter lost by knockout to Irishman Conor McGregor who recently became the first in the history of UFC champion in two weight categories.
