I want to fight in autumn - Magomed Malikov

Makhachkala, July 15, 2015.  Dagestan mixed martial arts fighter  Magomed Malikov, being injured last year, intends to get back in the ring this autumn, the sportsman informed in an interview with the RIA Dagestan.

"I have already started training for a long time, but I cannot give it all my best, because the injury reveals itself sometimes. Nevertheless, I would like to get back in the ring this autumn. As for me, it does not matter who my opponent will be, "- Malikov noted.

Let us remind on July 11, 2014 Dagestan heavyweight fought against American Brett Roges at the tournament organized by the promotion company FIGHT NIGHTS “Battle 16: Ready for work and defense” in Moscow. In the second round, while trying to hit the low-kick, Malik broke his right leg and was unable to continue the battle. With the fractured tibia, he was taken to the Botkin hospital.

In the year past, according to Malikov, he was close to signing a contract with the strongest-League MMA - UFC.

"I eventually was very close to the transition in the UFC. Of course, I would like to try my capabilities in the strongest league, but it is not so simple. I do not want to forecast the future. I will continue to win battles. Then we’ll see"- the athlete said.

Malikov also said that will help another Russian fighter Konstantin Erokhin acting in the cruiserweight division of the UFC, to get prepared for the next battle. " Konstantin is my good friend.
