Habib Nurmagomedov to fight against American Tony Ferguson

Makhachkala, February 1, 2016. Dagestani fighter Habib Nurmagomedov acting in the lightweight division of the UFC, on his page in social networks announced the fight with American Tony Ferguson. The match is very likely to be held on April 16 in the tournament UFC on FOX 19.

"It will be a five-round bout, the winner takes all, let's go ..." - Habib wrote in his Instagram. The official confirmation to the fight from UFC has not been received yet.

Ferguson had previously appointed fight. On March 5 American was to meet with Michael Johnson, but the latter for reasons unknown had been removed. Ferguson’s winning series let the athlete to occupy the 5th place in the UFC lightweights ranking division with 7 fights.

Earlier Nurmagomedov and Ferguson would have to fight in December, but another injury Habib led to the change of opponent.

Due to a series of injuries, the Dagestani had no fights since April 2014, when he beat the current champion Rafael dos Anjos.
