Makhachkala, May 27, 2014. Daghestani wrestler Gadzhimurad Dzhalalov became the winner of the international tournament that has taken place May 23 - 26, in Izmir, Turkey, the athlete’s coach trainer Magomed Askhabov told the RIA "Dagestan".

About 500 athletes from 21 countries participated in the international competitions. Having acted in the international Greco-Roman tournament, Dzhalalov obtained a silver medal in the weight category up to 84 kg. Daghestani wrestler defeated rivals from Iran and Norway but in the final Dzhalalov lost to a wrestler from Azerbaijan.

According to M. Askhabov, Jalalov, as a part of the Russian team, is expected to take part in the World Championship, which will be held in the capital of Croatia - Zagreb in August.
