Makhachkala, June 2, 2014. Famous football coach Sergei Tashuev signed a contract with "Anzhi" Makhachkala, he said to the ITAR-TASS news agency. It’s a 1-year contract extendable for another season. "The goal is to bring the club back to the Russian Premier League," Tasha said.

He added that they’ll change the team composition. "A large group of players who played for "Anzhi" on a leasehold basis have left the team. A few players have expiring contracts. You’ll see the team composition change - it is indisputable. We’ll do a major recruiting," he said.

Tashuev’s appointment was announced on May 22, but the contract was signed only now. Tashuev is known for his work with Russian clubs "Krasnodar", "Spartak Nalchik" and "Salut" (Belgorod). Last season, he coached Ukrainian "Metallurg" (Donetsk).

Placing the last in the Premier League 2013/14, "Anzhi" will play in the National Football League (FNL) in season 2014/15. At the end of the season, its coach Gadzhi Gadzhiev left the club.

Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, the club’s owner since January 2011, helped the club sign Brazilian Roberto Carlos, the 2002 world champion, in February 2011, and Italian "Inter"’s Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o in August 2011. August 2013, the Makhachkala club announced great changes. Dissatisfied with the results, Kerimov decided to drastically cut the funding. Most of the team leaders were sold.
