Makhachkala, July 30, 2015. Dagestani weightlifter Felix Khalibekov obtained the gold medal of the Russian championship held on July 27 in Stary Oskol, the website of the Russian Weightlifting Federation reports.

Khalibekov became the best in the weight category up to 62 kg. It should be noted that is this the third medal for Dagestani weightlifter won at different championship of Russia. Having performed at the Russian championships in Kazan and Grozny -2013 – 2014, Khalibekov was recognized the best in the heavier weight category up to 69 kg.

Let us remind Felix Khalibekov gained the first medal in the history of Dagestan weightlifting at the European Championships in Israel last year. By results of the Russian championship, the sportsmen will be selected to participate in the world championship, held in Houston (USA) on November 20 – 29, 2015.
