Makhachkala, April 22, 2014.Three Daghestani freestyle wrestlers will participate in the Asian Wrestling Championship. The sport event will take place in Astana on April 23, wrestdag.ru reports.

Daghestani sportsmen Kurban Kurbanov (up to 125 kg) and Rashid Kurbanov (up to 86 kg) will act for Uzbekistan. Before this championship, the graduates of Makhachkala wrestling school had twice taken part in the Asian Championships and every time they became winners.

The third Daghestani athlete, representing Tajikistan national team Zalimkhan Yusupov (up to 65 kg) will compete for the first time. Zalimkhan, graduate of Khasavyurt wrestling school, was a member of the Olympic Games in London and took the 11th place.

The Asian Wrestling Championship in three styles will be held in Astana on April 23 - 27. The wrestlers will compete for awards in the first two days. The referee of the tournament is Ubaydula Osmanov from Makhachkala. He represents the judiciary of Tajikistan.
