Makhachkala, August 19, 2014. Five Daghestani judokas will take part in the individual-team World Cup, on August 25 to 31 in the city of Chelyabinsk, the website of Russian Judo Federation reports.
About 751 sportsmen from 120 countries will participate in the Russian Judo Championship for the first time.
The Olympic champion Tagir Khaibulaev (100 kg), the European champion Kamal Khanmagomedov (66 kg), the winner of several international tournaments Renat Saidov (100 kg) will act for the Russian team in the individual competitions. Totally, the Russian national team includes 34 judokas.
Let us remind that the Russian team took the 14th place in the team standings at the World Championships of 2013 in Rio de Janeiro. Sportsmen obtained three medals – a silver and two bronze.
