Makhachkala, August 15, 2014. Daghestani team will take part in the 4th round of the Russian rugby-7championship, team’s coach Magomed Gadjimagomedov informed RIA "Dagestan". He said the competition is scheduled for 20-23 August to run in Monino, Moscow region.

The Russian league includes teams of Daghestan, RSUTS-Moscow region (Monino), Krasny Yar (Krasnoyarsk), №4 TSP (Krasnodar region), Khimki (Moscow region), Burevestnil-Kuzbass (Novokuznetsk), and Rostov-on-Don (Rostov).

Gadjimagomedov said RSUTS-Moscow region won the first two rounds held April 19-20 in Anapa and June 6-7 in Moscow; and Krasny Yar with Daghestani Bayzat Hamidova was the winner of the third round held August 2-3 in Krasnoyarsk. He also informed that with 26 rating points, the Daghestan team is now ranked 5th in the standings. Only 5 rounds will determine the national champion.

After the 4th round of the adult championship, Monino will host the Russian women’s rugby-7 championship for athletes born in 1996-1997. "This competition will be a qualifier for the Russian national team to participate in the European championship scheduled for September 19-21 in Switzerland. For the Russian team, the contest will be a debut in this age category. Promising Daghestan’s Naida Alikhanova has good prospects for a ticket to Switzerland," Gadjimagomedov concluded.
