Makhachkala, July 22, 2014. Daghestani athletes are taking part in the Russian skydiving championship launched in Tatarstan’s Menzelinsk July 18, Daghestan team’s representative Ruslan Abdullatipov told RIA "Daghestan".

He said Daghestani team included 3 first-grade athletes – Kurban Ganapiev, Timur Sultanov, and Igor Amirov – who qualified through competitions of the South Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District held 4-6 July at the Korkmaskala village airport, Kumtorkali region.

"Daghestan skydivers will compete in a double-event: group acrobatics parachute plus landing accuracy. They don’t mean to show on podium, because they are supposed to be fighting against top level athletes. They participate to gain a tremendous experience for the further professional growth," Abdullatipov said.

The Russian skydiving championship attended by 200 athletes from many Russian regions is scheduled to finish on July 22.
