Dagestani sportsmen gain 25 medals at Russian Oriental Championship

Makhachkala, March 10, 2016. Dagestani sportsmen obtained 25 medals of different values at the Russian mixed martial arts championship – Oriental. The sport event took place in Pskov on March 3-7, the head of Dagestan oriental federation Badavi Guseynov told RIA Dagestan.

Dagestani national team, consisted of 33 athletes, was presented in all age groups and weight categories.

Russian champions became Aliaskhab Magomedov (up to 60 kg, full fight section), Rashidhan Datsiev (up to 50 kg, grappling), Ruslan Ibragimov (up to 70 kg, grappling) Islam Magomedov (up to 70 kg, mix fights and grappling) Khadizhat Suleybanova (up to 55 kg, mix fights), Bagama Sultanov (up to 60 kg, mix martial arts), Emin Abdurazaev (+93 kg, mix martial arts), Timur Mamaev (up to 70 kg, mix martial arts), Zurab Echilov (up to 71 kg, grappling), Zalimkhan Halitov (up to 75 kg, grappling), Magomedrasul Sheykhmagomedov (up to 60 kg, grappling).
The winners will participate in the European Championship, held in early May in Rome.
