Dagestani wrestlers win Magomed Omarov Wrestling Tournament

Makhachkala, August 31, 2015. Dagestan wrestlers have become winners in all weight categories at the Russian freestyle-wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Russian Federation, Magomed Omarov.

The tournament brought together wrestling teams from Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia - Alania, Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Krasnodar, Moscow region, Astrakhan and Rostov-on-Don. Totally, more than 200 athletes participated in the competition.

Adam Ozdarbiev ( up to 57 kg), Murshid Mutalimov (up to 61 kg); Shihsaid Dzhalilov (up 65 kg); Abutalib Gamzayev (up to 70 kg); Magomed Imanshapiev (up to 74 kg); Shamil-aga Amirov (up to 86 kg); Akhmed Bataev (up to  97 kg); Islam Bakhmudkadiev (up to 125 kg) have become the winners of the tournament in the different weight categories.

The sportsmen from Kabardino-Balkaria gained two medals All-Russian tournament, the representatives from Krasnoyarsk, the Chechen Republic, Stavropol Territory and North Ossetia-Alania took one medal.

The athletes, obtaining second and third places, got cash prizes of $ 30, 20 and 10 thousand rubles. The tournament winners were praised with the title of the Master of Sports of Russia.
