Makhachkala, May 15, 2015. 11 Dagestani athletes are going to take part in the Russian MMA Championship held in Omsk on May 28 to 31, the coach of Makhachkala sports club "Gorets" Sukhrab Magomedov reports.

"A preliminary number of sportsmen performing in the Russian MMA Championship from Dagestan is about 11 athletes. The winners of the North Caucasus Federal District championship as well as the last year's winner of the Russian championship will go to Omsk. Ramadan Sulebanov (70.3 kg) and Magomed Ankalaev (93 kg), graduates of sports club "Gorets" will act as a part of Dagestan team"- Magomedov said.

According to S. Magomedov, other Dagestan wrestlers such as Bakhachali Bakhachaliev (61.2 kg), Shah Mammaev, Sultan Abdurazakov (both - 70.3 kg), Arsen Daudgadzhiev, Ramazan Kuramagomedov (both - 77.1 kg) , Zubayrugadzhi Aliyev (84 kg), Muslim Magomedov (93 kg), Rizwan Kuniev and Sultan Murtazaliyev (both - 93 kg) will also take part in different weight categories at the championship.

For the winners, the Russian championship will be qualifying tournament for the World Championship, and for the second prize winners - the European Championships. Date and venue of international competitions have not been determined.

Moreover, Dagestan team gained the first place at the Russian championship in Khanty-Mansiysk last year.
