Makhachkala, February 18, 2015. Dagestani Paralympic judokas (blind sports) will take part in a world cup event – a qualifier for the Paralympic Games-2016 scheduled to run February 19-23 in Eger, Hungary, chief expert with the Physical Education Department of the republican ministry of sports Djamal Omarov told RIA Dagestan.

"Following the event, our athletes can help the Russian team qualify for the Paralympics. The world cup event held in the USA in September, 2014, was also an Olympic qualifier. There, Abdula Kuramagomedov placed first thus securing a ticket to Brazil. Now, he is heading for the upcoming world cup event to take a better look at his possible rivals at the Paralympic tournament. The other Dagestani leaders of the Russian team - Shakhban Kurbanov and Malik Kurbanov are to perform in Hungary, too,"- Omarov enlarged.

The total of Dagestan participation in Eger will be: Zaur Djabrailov (60 kg), Shakhban Kurbanov (73 kg), Rabadan Gassanov (81 kg), Sahad Abdurakhmanov (81 kg), Malik Kurbanov (90 kg), Abdula Kuramagomed (100 kg), and Zeinab Gurgashvili (57 kg). The athletes are to set off to Hungary from Moscow tomorrow.
