Makhachkala, November 23, 2016. On November 20, Dagestani boxer Radzhab Butaev, passing from amateurs to professionals, obtained the vacant belt of NABF North American version of the super-welterweight title.

The graduate of Khasavyurt sports school named after Sh.Umahanov and the trainee of the coach Ahmed Dzhanaev, Butaev fought against the experienced Hungarian athlete Gabor Gorbich in the battle for the honorary title. Butaev dominated the whole bout in the ring and gained the victory by the unanimous decision of the jury with a score of 80-72.  

This fight became the fourth for Dagestani sportsman on the professional ring. Having lost the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games, Butaev decided to start his career as a professional boxer. Andrey Zamkovoy substituted Radzhab Butaev in the Olympics. The coaches of the national team gave preference to Andrey Zamkovoy, who later lost in the first fight at the Games in Rio.
