Makhachkala, October 18, 2016. Dagestan Wushu sandaists won approximately 30 gold medals at the Cup of Caucasus, held October 13-17 in the city of Labinsk, Krasnodar region, the executive director of the Republican Wushu Sanda Federation Magomedali Magomedov said.
The competitions were attended by around 300 athletes from the regions of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District. Dagestan team was composed of trainees of the sports schools from Karabudakhkent, Levashi and Buinaksk districts and the settlement of Alburikent (suburb of Makhachkala.
"The republic of Dagestan was represented by two teams of 51 athletes. Most of them won medals of different value. 29 Dagestan wushu sandaists won the tournament"- the source noted.
