Makhachkala, April 28, These days, Dagestan volleyball team was going through the second series of the finals in the B League in the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, where they for the first time in history, qualified for the A League.

Dagestan head Ramazan Abdulatipov came to the game to support the team. Finally, ‘Dagestan’ had to defeat teams fr om Kazan, Barnaul, Sterlitamak, Krasnogorsk, and Belgorod to become part of the A League.

Ramazan Abdulatipov commented on the achievement: "I congratulate all the fans of volleyball with the success of the Dagestan team! This is the first time in history our club joins the A League wh ere they will play with the strongest teams of Russia!" He also noted that volleyball has been a traditional sport for Dagestan, and it should be revived in every village of the republic.
