Makhachkala, November 21, 2018. On November 20, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Artem Zdunov and the Vice-President of the World Federation of Aviation Sports Neyboshi Yushkevich met to discuss the details of the upcoming international parachuting competition in 2019. The newly opened airfield in the vicinity to the settlement of Novokayakent in Kayakentsky municipal district of Dagestan will hold the competitions.

As to Artem Zdunov, the competitions are an “anchor” project for the development of tourism in the region; therefore, they should be complex, spectacular and improve the image of not only Dagestan but Russia as a whole.

Neyboshi Yushkevich shared his impressions about the hospitality of Dagestan and its beauties. “Dagestanis are very hospitable. We visited the recreation center, Vorontsovskiye baths, from where I sent a photo to my parachutist friends around the world” Yushkevich is quoted saying.
