Dagestan sportswoman included in Russian Freestyle Wrestling Olympic Team

Makhachkala, July 20, 2016. Dagestan sportswoman Milana Dadasheva (up to 48 kg) has been included into the Russian Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Olympic Team. The day before, the head coach of the women's national team Yuri Shakhmuradov announced the names of the athletes who would represent Russia at the upcoming Olympic tournament.

"I am very glad that I have been entrusted to perform in the Olympics. At the same time, the decision of the coaching staff didn’t surprise me, they were talking about it when I obtained the first place at St. Petersburg national championship in June. I would like to meet expectations and do everything for it "- Dadasheva stated.

Milana Dadasheva, acting for the Russian team at the Olympics, will become the second Dagestani wrestler after the former world champion, the participant of the Games - 2008 in Beijing Zamira Rakhmanova.

Recall, the 21-year-old Milana Dadasheva performed among juniors and became two-fold winner of the European Championship. She also became the two-fold bronze medalist at the World championship. Dagestani sportswoman trained under the guidance of the honored coach of Russia Kasum Nasrudinov. Nowadays Dadasheva trains with Svetlana Gracheva.
