Dagestan boxer becomes Russian Armed Forces’ champion

Makhachkala, August 4, 2016. Dagestani sportsman Muslim Gadzhimagomedov obtained the first place in the Russian Armed Forces Boxing Championship, which took place in Ryazan on 30 July to 3 August, the athlete's coach Rashidbek Akhmedov says.

The tournament was held for prizes given by the honored master of sports, the main Russian boxing trainer Alexander Lebzjak. As reported, about 150 athletes, representing the Russian military districts, attended the jubilee tournament.

Among seven Dagestani boxers, performing the championship, only Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (up to 81 kg.) became the gold medalist. Having spent four fights in the ring, the graduate of Makhachkala Boxing Academy named after Sultan Ibragimov won and obtained the title of the Russian Armed Forces’ champion. It should be noted that last year Dagestani boxer managed to become the winner of the European Youth Championship.
