Big freestyle motocross show by best Russian stuntmen held in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, August 25, 2014. A big FMX show celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Caucasian (native) Cavalry Division of the Russian Imperial Army was taking place at the "Trud" stadium in Makhachkala.

Before the show, a single column of Daghestani bikers and stuntmen of the International stuntmen academy made a ride of Makhachkala holding flags of Russia, Daghestan, and the Caucasus Cavalry Division. They rode to the Memorial to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the Lenin Komsomol Park to lay flowers.

Later, the stadium saw competitions in volleyball, basketball, and a football game of FC "Anzhi" fans’ team called "Wild Division" and team of Daghestan ministry of physical culture and sports. Djigits (Daghestani horse riders) continued the festivity, symbolizing the martial art and valour of "Wild Division" volunteers.

After that, the stadium heard the official part followed by a spectacular extreme FMX show called "Riding roads of valour" by stunt champions from Russia, Italy and the International stuntmen academy.

In the beginning, there was an exhibition performance on motorcycles and an ATV. The guest riders were well-known Russian Gennady Kolesnikov, Roman Dyrin and Kirill Gavrilov; Italian extreme rider Massimo Biankonsini, the winner of the X-Games 2011-2012, demonstrated his art on the springboard by performing dizzying stunts 9 meters above the ground in his 100-pound bike.

At the end of the show, there was a concert featuring Daghestani dance groups, vocal and choreographic ensembles, and pop artists finally framed by spectacular fireworks.
