Makhachkala, November 13, 2014. Daghestan’s Baizat Hamidova is among the five best players in the world in 2009-2014, says the women's rugby-7 international portal scrumqueens.com.

In Top 5, she’s accompanied by Maggie Alphonsi (England), Fiona Coghlan (Ireland), Kayla McAlister (New Zealand), Jen Kish (Canada).

"It's always nice to be recognized as one of the world's best in what you do, - Hamidova said in an interview with RIA"Dagestan", - It's been only a few years since I started to play rugby, but for the relatively short period, I’ve showed really good results both with my club and as a member of the Russian team. Having individual titles is good, but being helpful to the national team is greater. The Russian team headed by Pavel Baranovsky is a formidable force. Top world class players are in the team, and we keep on progressing. We’ve a lot of competitions yet to come, the first one is a world series event scheduled to run December 4-5 in Dubai. I’m very pleased we have my sister Navrat back in the team – I owe her my rugby career."

The track record of the "Krasny Yar" forward looks really impressive: in the 2012-2013 season of the women's world series, Baizat Hamidova scored 19 carries earning 95 points. By the end of 2013, Hamidova entered the symbolic world team thus repeating her elder sister Navrat’s previous year's achievement.

In July, 2013, Baizat Hamidova won the World Universiade in Kazan with the Russian team and became the first female Daghestani athlete to have earned the title of master of sports of international class in team sports.
