Makhachkala, August 22, 2014.  The All-Russian volleyball tournament "Cup of Friendship", dedicated to the memory of Daghestan national poet Rasul Gamzatov, will be held in Kaspiysk Sports Palace on September 19 - 21, the head coach of the national volleyball team Magomed Gairbekov says.

Apart from Daghestan combined team, five volleyball teams from Rostov, Maikop, Vladikavkaz, Tver and Crimea will participate in the tournament.

As to the head coach, the tournament has received the status of the All-Russian since the year past. Totally, six teams, acting in the top league "B" Russian championship: "Daghestan" (Makhachkala), "Gazprom Stavropol '(Georgievsk)," Iriston "(Vladikavkaz)," Dynamo-Maikop State Technical University "(Maikop)," Rostov -voley "(Rostov-on-Don) and" Soyuz "(village Krasnogvardeiskoe Krasnodar Territory) took part in the competition. The winner of the competition became the team of “Gazprom Stavropol”. The team of volleyball players "Makhachkala" took the third place.

"The tournament was held at the high level and today we can say that it  has become one of the representative tournaments" -M. Gairbekov concluded.
