Makhachkala, May 29, 2015. 11 athletes will represent Dagestan in the Russian MMA championships scheduled to run May 29-30 in Omsk, Omsk region, the press service of the Russian MMA Union told RIA Dagestan.

"This is a major event in the domestic and international MMA world. The strongest athletes will represent their regions in contesting the right to become the Russian champion and join the national team," the source said.

Participating will be athletes with a track record of at least 5 wins in professional MMA fights. They are 24 fighters in 7 weights. Here, Dagestan will be represented by Bakhachali Bakhachaliev (61.2 kg), Shakh Mammaev, Sultan Abdurazakov (70.3 kg), Arsen Daudgadjiev, Ramazan Kuramagomedov, Alibeg Rassulov (77.1 kg), Zubairugadji Aliyev (84 kg), Magomed Ankalaev, Muslim Magomedov (93 kg), Rizvan Kuniev and Sultan Murtazaliyev (+93 kg).
The opening ceremony will be held at noon of May 29 at the Blinov Sport and Concert Complex. The final bouts will begin at 5 pm, May 30. Visiting the tournament will be officials of the Russian MMA Union, the regional administration, the Supreme Referee Association, and other dignitaries.
