Ziyavudin Magomedov to sponsor construction of Europe’s largest mosque in Dagestan

Makhachkala, November 9, 2015. The construction of the largest mosque in Europe started between Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, will be funded by native of Dagestan, the well- known businessman Ziyavudin Magomedov, the imam of the Central Juma mosque of Dagestani capital Mahammadrasul Saaduev said on the recent Friday sermon.

"We have made tremendous efforts to start construction of the new Republican mosque. Praise be to God, we did it. The foundation of the mosque has been laid by ordinary people. The further construction works will be sponsored by Ziyavudin Magomedov" - Saaduev noted.

Makhachkala munucupal administration had allocated 20 hectares of land along the highway Makhachkala - Airport for the construction of the mosque. The project envisages construction of Islamic University with several access roads. It is noted that the theological complex will have a spacious parking to avoid the traffic problems.
