Zakhar Prilepin to shoot documentary on Northern Caucasus

Makhachkala, June 24, 2017. The film will tell about the culture, customs and interethnic relations in the region. The shooting process will begin in the Northern Caucasus. The authors intend to tell about the culture and customs of the multinational region in the documentary with the draft title "Notes on Mountain mores ". It is known that the well-known writer and publicist Zakhar Prilepin will be involved.
The film producers intend to pay special attention to the places of the Caucasus that inspired in poems by the great writers - Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Rasul Gamzatov and Kosta Khetagurov. As to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation that supported the creation of the film, the authors plan to acquaint the audience with the past and present of the multi-ethnic region, its traditions, intercultural, interethnic and interreligious relations.

The documentary will be shot in Dagestan, Chechnya, North Ossetia and the Stavropol region, which are inextricably linked with the fate of the above-mentioned writers. For the present time, the writer, who has been chosen as the film narrator, arrived in Dagestan together with the film crew.

- The creative team has already visited Mount Pushkin-Tau. Then it will go to the village of Tsada located in Khunzakhsky district of the republic, where the people's poet of Dagestan Rasul Gamzatov was born.

Then they will continue their trip to Chechnya, North Ossetia and the Stavropol region. On June 26 Zakhar Prilepin together with the film's authors will give a press conference in Pyatigorsk. The documentary "Notes on the mountain mores" will be finished in October. The film will be presented to the audience at the end of this year.
