Young DSTU scientists win Russian Presidential grant

Makhachkala, February 9, 2015. Young scientists from Dagestan State Technical University Hairulla Muselemov and Nazim Balamirzoev won the prestigious Russian Presidential grant competition for state support of young Russian scientists - 2015, the press service of the university told RIA Dagestan.

Muselemov’s project "Developing a new three-layer structure of improved resistance to static and dynamic loads with rational parameters of discrete honeycomb" won the grant in "Technical and engineering sciences", and Balamirzoev’s project "Improving the efficiency of microfinance by introducing information technologies" won in "Social sciences and humanities. "

"Winning this prestigious competition speaks to high skills, thorough preparation and great scientific potential of the DSTU representatives, given that were appeared to be the only winners in these nominations in the North Caucasus Federal District," the source noted.

DSTU scientists annually participate in this contest and traditionally win it in different nominations. In 2013, the presidential grant was awarded to Shamil Magomedov, and in 2014 – to Tatiana Chelushkina.

Russian Presidential grants are awarded to support young Russian scientists - candidates and doctors, as well as leading scientific schools. These funds are used to finance basic and applied research in priority areas of science and technology.
