Makhachkala, April 11, 2017. The officials of the Youth Policy Ministry of the Republic of Dagestan will tell the residents of the republic about the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students. The event will be held in the building of the Cinema Hall in Makhachkala on April 12.

As to Ministry spokesperson, the festival will gather more than 20 thousand young people from 150 countries and will become a large-scale event in the international youth interaction. It will last from October 15 to October 22, 2017, on the site of the Sochi Olympic Park.

The event is expected to become a new stage in international cooperation and focuses to unite future generations around the ideas of peace. The Worl Festival of Youth and Students has been active since 1947. In 1957 and 1985, the Festival was held in Moscow. The 1957 Festival in Moscow was the biggest event in its history unting 34,000 delegates from 131 countries.
