Makhachkala, March 19, 2015. Volunteers of Dagestan State Technical University conducted an environmental campaign under the slogan "Clean City" as part of the program of student associations development, a source in the university told RIA Dagestan.

More than 100 volunteer students including leaders of the committee on youth affairs and the student union committee assembled in the 50th October Anniversary park – a special choice in regard to this spring’s 70th anniversary of the Great Victory – the park has memorable places devoted to the Great Patriotic War.

Armed with garbage bags, buckets and brooms, the activists started the cleaning. Great weather and friendly atmosphere largely contributed to volunteers’ enthusiasm and cheerful mood.

The students assured this is not the first and not the last campaign of this kind: "This is our city and we have to be part in its life. Now, our main goal is clean the city to make it look beautiful."
