Turkish journalists shoot film on Dagestan

Makhachkala, May 6, 2015. Yesterday, the initiative group of journalists fr om the Turkish National Television TRT visited Dagestan. Having arrived in the administrative center of the republic, the journalists visited Makhachkala office of Dagestan Mission at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Turkey.

Welcoming the guests, the representative of Dagestan in Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Turkey Tavlu Kazakbiev drew the guests’ attention to some places of interest in different part of the republic.

"Dagestan is a wonderful region with a unique local colour and nature. Here, different peoples preserved their ancient traditions. The republic homes over a dozen completely different nationalities, each of them has its own language and culture. They all follow the sacred covenants of ancestors, live in accordance with their notions of conscience and honor. I would be pleased if it all will be reflected in the movie.

We are open for business partnership in various fields, and we will do everything possible to make our region comfortable for investment and business. I hope that your sincere interest to Dagestan will initiate a fruitful mutually beneficial cooperation", - Kazakbiev concluded.

Noteworthy, the purpose of the project is to show the image of the region to attract investments. The documentary about Dagestan will be shot with support of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Turkey along with the State Broadcasting Company "Dagestan" and the national Turkish Radio and Television TRT. Reporters are preparing a documentary on the country to show the foreigners the hospitality of people with a long history living in Dagestan.
The film will reflect the sights, people, lifestyle, leisure of Dagestanis and the investment potential of the republic. The authors of the spoke about the investment objects under realization (the construction of greenhouses, cement mini-factory, all the places wh ere the Turks work). The film will be shot in two languages - English and Turkish.

The Head of Turkish delegation Tahsin Ozkyurt noted that in future this film will be posted on the Internet and shown via the TV channel TRT watched daily by 20-30 million people worldwide. "A series of 30-minute TV programmes on the nationalities of Dagestan will by shown 2-3 times a day. I think, tourists and investors will visit Dagestan after all" - Ozkyurt said.

The delegation arrived in Dagestan on May 4 and will stay in the republic till May 8. The next visit of the guests is scheduled for June, 2015.
