The Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, initiated the transformation of governmental residence on the Tarki-Tau slope in Makhachkala into the new educational center for gifted children "Altair", the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Dagestan reports. The new free-of-charge center for 200 children will start operating in September 2022. Currently, the regional government is preparing a project for an educational building and a hostel for 240 residents.
