Three Dagestanis to take part in finals of X International Olympiad "IT-Planet 2016/17"

Makhachkala, May 25, 2017. The students and young IT specialists of Dagestan will take part in the finals of the International Olympiad in information technologies "IT-Planet 2016/17", the press service of the Ministry of Press and Information of the Republic of Dagestan reports.

The event will be held June 2 - 5 in Sochi. It is expected to be attended by 360 young IT professionals under the age of 26 from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Armenia who have shown the best results in the qualifying rounds in the nominations "Cloud computing and databases", "Programming", "Telecom", " "Mobile platforms", "Free software and robotics", "Digital creativity" and "Usability", etc.

It should be noted that more than 17 thousand people from 12 countries participated in the qualifying stages. Dagestan in the competition is represented by 133 participants, three of whom successfully coped with all the tests and have been invited to participate in the finals. Apart from the finalists, the winners in each federal districts of the Russian Federation are determined. They will be awarded with diplomas.

The finals of the Olympiad are held in accordance with the Plan of socially significant all-Russian and international events of the Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Education of Children and Youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for 2017.
