Makhachkala, April 19, 2018. The Sholokhov Center in Rostov-on-Don hosted the regional stage of the All-Russian Readers’ Contest "Open Your Mouth" held under the aegis of the Interregional Reading Federation. More than 50 readers from different cities of the Northern Caucasus took part in the event.

Dagestan was represented by the winner of the qualifying stage in Makhachkala, the undergraduate of the philological faculty of DSU, the Youth Affairs Committee activist Amina Magomaeva. Accidentally, the student was recognized as the youngest contestant of the event.

The competition was held in three stages: the poetry, the prose and the specialized literature. The readers were given a sealed envelope with information on the indicated page for reading. The organizers selected various authors and genres for the reading - from classics to popular contemporary works.

Amina Magomaeva noted that it was difficult to win the contest. The jury, which included the teachers of the philological faculties of Rostov universities, rigidly assessed the artistry and the technique of the contestants.
