Stolen saber worth million euros returned to Dagestan museum

Makhachkala, August 31, 2017. The police officers will return a valuable exhibit - an old saber stolen by thieves along with other products from the museum of Kubachi art factory in the Republic of Dagestan. The cost the antique weapons is about one million euros, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk reports.

The suspects in the crime have been detained in Moscow and Smolensk regions. Two of them - a 53-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man were trying to sell the saber. The police found the rest of the jewelry and things stolen from the museum of the Kubachi art factory.

In total more than hundred pieces - the brooches, pendants, necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, silver utensils, and the other eight sabers have been returned to Dagestan.
