Standard Model of Cosmology workshop held in Dagestan State Technical University

Makhachkala, March 5, 2015. A scientific workshop titled "Standard model of cosmology" was held on March 2 at DSTU faculty of electronics, telecommunications and multimedia technology, the press service of the university told RIA Dagestan.

The event was initiated by the faculty’s department of physics in order to expand the knowledge of the university’s students, postgraduates, and staff, and help them shape their philosophical vision.

Participants discussed the nonlinear effects that arise in multi-component relativistic systems, building new models of the universe that has characteristics of secondary acceleration, and the latest achievements in the theory of gravitation, cosmology, astrophysics, and quantum field theory.
The scientific event was attended by chief of DSTU Office of Scientific Research Gamid Irzaev, dean of the electronics faculty Timur Aigumov, heads of the university’s faculties, leading lecturers and young scientists: graduate and undergraduate students.

Senior physics lecturer Magomed Makhmudov made a report on "Standard model of cosmology". The audience got very interested and they asked many questions about the structure and evolution of the universe.

Director of the department of philosophy, DSTU Professor Yussuf Abdulkadyrov made a report on "Problems of cosmology" which gained great attention and led to a long discussion, too.

After the debate inspired by both lecturers and students, head of the department of physics Ganapi Akhmedov summarized the workshop and thanked the speakers and the audience for their active participation.
